Hi Folks,
Obviously, Redskins are in the last place of the NFC East.... The final game for the 'Skins is important since it is all about winning for pride and regain of dignity.
Philly Eagles are a tough team to beat especially looking back past games. If the 'Skins can beat'em, hey it will be really cool because they will not get the 8-8 for the 2011 season...
Here in Malaysia, NFL is not a huge thing due to the popularity of soccer (football) especially the English and European leauges. Soccer is a huge following unlike American Football in Malaysia.
Moving forward, hopefully from the 2011 season, the Skins will learn and know how to get themselves ready for the 2012 season and for that it will surely be a must win for them in view of the huge investment they have made in getting a Super Bowl coach and of course decent above average potential players.
My prediction....Skins win over Eagles, 21-14.
HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!

Perry and Brand Split
Hi Folks,
Rarely, I'm gonna comment about celebrity, but this time....it is a must..cos both of them are my favorites....
Quite sad to know that the celebrity couple of Katy Perry and Russel Brand are going separate ways.
It was speculated months ago that Perry was not wearing her wedding ring and that both of them are not seen together in the public. Sounds familiar....that same 'ol tune....couple bla, bla, bla, breaking up...
It is a Bittersweet Symphony thing, but that is life...
Anyway, hope both of them will continue to have successful careers and life....

Malaysia's 13th General Election! Hot Stuff in 2012
hi Folks,
Oh yes in less 3 days, we will be welcoming a brand new year, 2012...
A year that some say will be really happening. Hopefully it will not get to the majorly 'catastrophic' scale like what was shown on the Hollywood blockbuster, 2012.
Whatever it is especially in Malaysia, the 13th General Election may take place, but again it is really up to the man in charge of the country, PM Najib.
With the possible 13th General Election, it will be the first time that the indelible ink will be introduced so when a voter votes, then his/her finger will be 'inked'. Frankly, I hate it. Why? It is so backward or 'Third World', but again as explained this measure is to counter against possible voting fraud or double voting or the infamous 'phantom voter'.
No doubt, it will be a big battle between the incumbent government of PM Najib (Barisan Nasional) versus Anwar Ibrahim (Pakatan Rakyat).
It will be a very closely watched event since Barisan Nasional (BN - current ruling party) will try to obtain the 2/3 majority in the parliament which they failed to achieve in the 12th General Election back in 2008. Not only that BN would also target to get back the states that have currently under Pakatan Rakyat which is Selangor, Penang, Kedah, and Kelantan.
If u haven't register as a voter, go and register now. To register, well the procedures and process can be found in the Election Commission website (www. spr.gov.my).
For the time being, let us enjoy the rest of 2011 which is just 3 more days and get ready for the new 2012.

2012: The Coming of LEGOLAND MALAYSIA!!!!
Hi Folks,
Yes, like the title stated Malaysia is going to have the first ever international theme park and it is LEGOLAND MALAYSIA. It will be the first theme park of LEGOLAND in Asia! Talk about being the first country in Asia. For a while, remember listening to rumours that Disney and Universal Studion is coming, but hey better than nothing, LEGOLAND is definitely a bonus for all of us!
It will be located in one of Malaysia's states called Johor and the area (Nusajaya) is currently under construction. Roughly, once the theme park is open and tentatively schedule in late 2012, it will be a 4 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur via the expressway/highway and about less than an hour drive from Singapore.
As some may know, in Malaysia there theme parks like Sunway Lagoon, Genting Theme Park, but it not the MAJOR ones. High time that we finally get our very own major theme park and hopefully with a positive response we will get more theme parks of an international scale.
Imagine once LEGOLAND MALAYSIA open up,thousands of people will be descending to the theme park and it is all about good and fun time for families and singles!
Can't wait.....but yes it will happen.....

Losing Season for the Redskins
Hey Folks,
As an avid and loyal fan of the Washington Redskins, it is sad to know that this time they lost to another losing team which is the Minnesota Vikings. A tough loss.
Well, on the positive side, hopefully the current players will take in stride and do the best in the 2012 NFL season. I die for that 'winning' season.......good grief!
For now, they have to deal with the Eagles at Philly so hopefully it is just a matter of winning the game for pride and glory!! HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad - An Irreplaceable Legend
HI Folks,
Just wanna dedicate this blog to Malaysia's fourth Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad.
He has been Malaysia's PM for a good 22 years and at one point of time the longest serving PM in Asia.
He has taken Malaysia from a third world, backward, agricultural-based to a modern, developed, and progressive country to what it is today.
No doubt that with his no-nonsense and never give-up attitude of changing the economic and social landscape of Malaysia, there are critics who called him a 'dictator', 'tyrant', 'Mahafiraun', 'Malay extremist', and all the 'lovely names' that once or still appear on the world-wide-web. Of course for any person, beside his pillar of strength, there are also weaknesses that may have impact or in a way affected his image. However, it is Tun Dr Mahathir's achievement is what really until today inspire and gain admiration not only here in Malaysia, but internationally as well.
He was also a very constant critic of the Israel policy of discrimination against the Palestinian people. His action and verbal annoyance of Israel's government is far greater or even louder than the Arabs in the Middle East.
Anyway, if not for Tun Dr Mahathir, the internet in Malaysia would not have become what it is today. Imagine now majority of Malaysians are pretty hooked up into the net and not to mention 'Facebook', Twitter, Skype, and etc... He was pretty foremost in his ways to ensure that Malaysians do not missed out the advantages of internet.
Of course, thanks to him 2 cities were created which was Putrajaya (federal administrative center) and Cyberjaya (the 'Malaysian Silicon Valley' city).
In my opinion, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad deserved the biggest credit for taking and putting Malaysia as one of the center of attention especially in this part of globe. No doubt he may sound or his style is 'autocratic', but Malaysia has never enjoyed so much economic, social, security, and political success and stabillity for a long time when he was the Prime Minister of Malaysia. Until today, I personally missed his leadership and sense of that 'fatherly' knows best for the country. His influence still has not dwindle or decline, but gradually with age (now 86 years old) he is slowing down a bit, but again his mind is as sharp as a speeding bullet especially in his views and perspectives highlighted particularly in his blog and also in the daily media.
This Legend is an ICON and yes there will not be another Tun Dr Mahathir perhaps for the next century or while I am still alive. Gosh, I wish I cud write more, but I will end by this.....Dear Tun Dr Mahathir, We Salute You!!!!

Death of North Korea's Kim Jong-Il....what is next??
Dear Folks,
As unexpected, watching the news the announcement of the untimely death of the North Korean Leader, Kim Jon-Il due to heart attack.. It was reported that his youngest son will be the new leader of the one and only, sole, communist country on this planet.
So now one must wonder, what is going to happen to North Korea? Is the new leader going to go out for a 'change' to democracy and 'openness' like the previous communist countries have initiated a few decades ago. Or even call the end of the Korean War with Sout Korea? Or is he just going to stick to the same 'ol Communist thing all the way. That remains to be something that is boggling in my unstabled mind.....!
Whatever it is, we will wait and see.....

Hey folks,
We are just less than 2 weeks away till 2012 meets our doorstep....Goodness Gracious!!
The 'Giant' Spoiler
Okay, if you are glued or at least keeping an eye on the NFL which American Football. Yes, it is good to be Washington Redskin fan. They beat the New York Giants. No doubt it is a losing season for the 'Skins, but hey winning especially against the Giants is like winning the Superbowl!
Based from my observation, the best 'Skins so far in my lifetime is the 1991 Washington Redskins Team that won the Superbowl. It was all about 'Chemistry' and 'Consistency'. They were the best especially all the players were really 'sync' with each other.
It will be a dream come true whenever that'll be for the Washington Redskins to have that same chemistry like in 1991. Come what may!

Our new 14th King - Daulat Tuanku!!!!!
Hi Folks,
Yes, yesterday was a historic day (definitely not a public holiday). It was the inaugaration of our 14th King or in Malaysia it is called the 'Yang Di Pertuan Agong'.
His Royal Highness, the Sultan of Kedah was chosen to be the 14th King. What is amazing is that in Malaysia (or probably the only country in the world that have this title), the Deputy King or known as 'Timbalan Yang Di Pertuan Agong' is the His Royal Highness, the Sultan of Kelantan.
The 14th 'Yang Dipertuan Agong'
His royal highness, Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah ibni Sultan Badlishah
The Deputy 'Yang Dipertuan Agong'
His royal highness, Tuanku Muhammad Faris Petra
What is unique about Malaysia's constitutional monarchy system is that the king is selected among the 9 states that have a sultan. In a nutshell, Malaysia once upon a time have sultans from the 9 states. So basically, the 9 sultans will get to select the King and Deputy King amongst them. The 9 states that have a sultan are Perlis (called 'Raja'), Kedah, Perak, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan (called Yang Dipertuan Besar), Johor, Pahang, Terengganu, and Kelantan. While the other 4 states is headed by 'Yang Dipertuan Negeri' or governor which makes them not qualified to become King.
Anyway, our new King will be the Head of State for the next 5 years. Once he completes his 5 year term, then the council of rulers which is made of the Sultan will elect or select the new King (which is most probable be the Sultan of Kelantan).
Interestingly, for our new King this is his second time as the Yang Dipertuan Agong. The last time was back from 1970 to 1975. That is a first for Malaysia, the first King to be elected twice.
Heartiest Congratulations to both of our new Yang Dipertuan Agong and Timbalan Yang Dipertuan Agong.
DAULAT TUANKU!!!!! (LONG LIVE THE KING)

Lunar Eclipse December 2011
Hi Folks,
Just want to share the images that I've managed to take during the evening of the lunar eclipse on 10 December 2011.
Apologize for the 'not so good' images due to the hi tech low budget digi camera that I have, but still it was worth of the shots taken that evening....
Before the eclipse commenced, nice complete full moon in view.....
and thus the lunar eclipse began........
yup in progress.....
and yes it was getting smaller.....till the clouds start to show up and thus...block the whole view...obviously...it was really pitch black....imagine our world without the moon.....scary!
That was the final or last full lunar eclipse of the year and the next one will appear in 2014... Like 2 more years to go......kewlness!!!!!!

Her dedication and committment to squash is beyond words.
Frankly, she is the first ever sports LEGEND that Malaysia will ever have....and hope more athletes to follow suit.

Redskins....another losing season...Good Grief!!!
Hey Folks,
Back again to the world of blogging.
Forget playoffs,......losing season in sight
Heartbreaking but it is true, the 'Skins, my favorite American Football Team is going down, downright down! They are just not having a great season. Imagine, change coaches and players, but still couldn't really get that winning chemistry or formula to succeed.
Current Coach of the 'Skins is definitel not a stranger in the American Football world, but why is the word 'win' not registered in the game.
Frankly, if this goes on and on for the rest of the season.....they need a major overhaul.
VT HOKIES..........a tough loss to Clemson
On the same subject of American Football, yes my alma mater, Virginia Tech Hokies lost badly to Clemson and it was supposed to be revenge game, but ended becoming a high scoring game by the Opponent.
Sad loss, but one thing for sure it is again another bowl year for the Hokies, but it will be even greater if they beat Clemson and clinch the ACC Championship....but hey that is sports...there is a winner and loser....
UMNO.....ready for the big battle....General Election number 13...
Yes, the UMNO general assembly finally concluded with a war mood...yes everybody is ready for the big battle......the General Election number 13....and predicted to take place next year.
PM Najib and DPM Muhyiddin have came out to rally the 'soldiers' and now come 2012, everyone will be in their battle mode.
It will surely be a fight to the end. For UMNO and Barisan Nasional (which is the current ruling party), it will be to regain back the 2/3 majority which it has lost in the last election and also the hope of capturing back the Pakatan-led state governments of Selangor, Penang, Kedah, and Kelantan.
For Pakatan Rakyat, it will be a big battle to capture the "Putrajaya:" and start of a new so-called government.
All eyes, ears, emotions, minds are just dying to see this.... As for the typical 'rakyat', it is the issues at hand that is in stake.

REDSKINS won!!!! Go Hokies!
Dear Folks,
back to the world of blogging...and yes...we are just less than 32 days away till 2012. Kewlness....!!
WASHINGTON REDSKINS
Yes, they finally won a game and that is by beating the Seattle Seahawk. Interestingly, it was an 'away game'. Justg hope that the 3 time Superbowl champion, the Washington Redskins will win the next game and the next and clinch the wild card for the playoff.... Cross your fingers and hope that this time the 'Skins will kick more butts! (excuse my French!)
VIRGINIA TECH HOKIES
Yes, the Hokies is AWESOME... They just lost 1 game in the season and now destine for a rematch with Clemson for the ACC Championship. Yes, if one is into not just the NFL, but also the College Football, it is crazy!! Wish cud be there for the game...
MALAYSIAN FOOTBALL - That Familiar Tune...
The Tigers (Malaysian National Team under 23) were roaring all the way from the infamous victory of the football final of the SEA Games at Jakarta. Then the Olympics qualification...due to the 'fatigue factor' give away the game to Syria with 0-2 loss.
Now that same tune is happening again, they were playing really well against Bahrain and manage to go with a 2-0 lead until the wall start to crumble and to the disappointment of our fans especially playing at the National Stadium, lost to Bahrain 2-3. For Bahrain, it was surely a miracle comeback! For the Tigers, utterly disappointed. It still shows we are not that strong or competitive or even consistent. We are not yet the 'big players' in the football industry.
POLITICS, POLITICS....
Talk about local politics, last week PKR (Parti Keadilan Rakyat) had their General Assembly and as expected it was a BN (UMNO) bashing all the way and a promise of a new Government in Putrajaya.
You know what from my personal observation about politics, I think it is high time that the focus is on the issues and not just bashing the other rival parties (BN).
For a simple 'rakyat', I rather want to know what is it for me as not only a citizen, but a registered voter if I vote for PKR, DAP or PAS (Pakatan Rakyat). Bashing of BN is justified, but again let us get to the issues at hand like the economy, security, taxes, jobs, education,....
This week is also hot since UMNO General Assembly is happening and yes all eyes and ears is on PM Najib since this maybe the last genaral assembly before the calling of the General Election numero 13.
For UMNO and BN, it will be 'live and let die' situation. With the current situation, BN is only a holding a simple majority and no more 2/3 majority which is still proves to be unstable as of today.
One thing for sure the 13th General Election is going to be HOTTER.
Cheerios!!!

Hijrah! The Islamic New Year
Hi Folks,
got time to spare some of the keyboarding time for the blog...
MAAL HIJRAH aka Islamic New Year
Yes, this Sunday officially marks the new year in the Islamic Calendar. Of course that mean public holiday in Malaysia and most of Muslim majority countries.
Just like the normal (Gregorian) calendar, there are 12 months in the Islamic Calendar. So this Sunday officially marks the 1st day in the month of Muharram.
For Muslims on the 1st day of Muharram, normally we don't go out and sing 'Auld Land Syne' or have a New Year party, but more of a special prayer for a better year in terms of health, wealth, career, marriage, family, etc.
It is also known that during Hijrah is when Prophet Muhammad traveled from Mecca to Medinah and start the new period of Islam.
What is special for Malaysia is that if the holiday falls on Sunday, then automatically Monday is a holiday.
Kewlness!!!!
MALAYSIA LOST
Yup they lost the Olympic qualifier to Syria. Oh well, it could be the fatigue factor from the SEA Games. One thing for sure the lads in our National Team is a 'determine' force and hope that they remain focus and who knows can take the Malaysian Football (soccer) to greater heights far better than its seniors and veterans!
The Right to Assembly....Political reform and openness
As promised by Prime Minister Najib, the government will introduce several reforms especially for the right of the citizen to assemble, repealing the so-called ancient or 'draconian' acts, and also providing students (21 year and above) to participate in politics.
It is a milestone for the country, but again lots of things to see and understand.

And the winner is......
Hi Folks,
continuation of the blogging...
MALAYSIA HANGS ON TO THE GOLD MEDAL (FOOTBALL)
Yes, just like the title says, Malaysia won the footbal final of the SEA games which was in Jakarta against Indonesia.
It was a very intense and exciting game. Two teams battling it out with Indonesia scored first and later came back to equalize and make it a tie.
Of course it went into overtime and still scorelss. Then as expected the penalty shootout. Personally, when it came to penalty shootout, it will be battle of survival and that is the goalkeeper for both teams.
Malaysia won by the penalty shootout with a 5-4 over Indonesia and of course the hero of the game is our goalkeeper, Khairul Fahmi the saviour!!
No doubt, both teams played well, but just couldn't score or take the chance to score during the extra time.
In conclusion, Malaysia has proved in the region to be one of the top countries especially in football besides squash, badminton, sepak takrwa, lawn bowling, and hockey. However for Malaysia to really prove it can go all the way in football, we've got to kick some butts like South Korea, Japan, and other countries of higher rank than Malaysia. No doubt the National Team last night was the 'under 23' category and they prove that they can handle or play in major tournaments. Given the proper training and international exposure who knows, Malaysia can one day quality in the future World Cup.
The next test for the National Team is the qualifying round for the Olympic. That is definitely another big test for the Malaysian Tigers!

MALAYSIA VS. INDONESIA
Hi Folks!
Back to the world of blogging....oh yes........we are rolling!
FOOTBALL FINAL: SEA GAMES AT JAKARTA
Tonight is the night. For Malaysia to defend its gold medal and hope to grab it in this SEA Games. For Indonesia, it is definitely a do or die, but their advantage is playing in front of the home crowd. Both are equally good teams and not to mention, both are 'under 23 National Team' and not 'the National Team.'
Who will win? My prediction, Malaysia will win over Indonesia, 2-1. It will be a tough game due to the pressure from the home crowd, but the Malaysian Tigers can pull through. They just need to be focused and complete the mission and don't get overreaction to anything. If the Malaysian team played just like they played the last time they've met Indonesian team, they can pull through all the way.
No doubt the rivalry between the 2 countries (in SPORTS) is very tense and exciting, but again it is all in the spirit of harmony and competition. In any sports, there are winners and losers depending on one's opinion.
One thing for sure for the Malaysian Tigers, our 'under 23' Team has the potential for the future and who knows for other major tournaments to come, we can create major headlines....and perhaps get into our first ever World Cup.....
Will and wait n see......tonight that is...GO MALAYSIA!!
REDSKINS sinking down and down....
GOOD GRIEF! Sounds like Charlie Brown, but the 'Skins are on a losing battle or yet losing season possibly. It was a close game with Cowboys, but winning is what they are missing....
HOKIES...they are rocking!
Yes, BRAVO to my alma mater, Virginia Tech Hokies. The Hokies have now made it in the top 10 of the poll for both USA Today and AP.... Surely be another Bowl year for them.....kewlness!!!!

General Election Next year???
Hi Folks,
love to start blogging...
General Election - 13th....2012?
It was a relief when PM Najib finally said that there is no general election this year. So it looks like 2012 is going to be even hotter than 2011.
Talk about issues, plenty...and this is really a litmus test to see as to whether BN will still be able to cling to power and who knows get the 2/3 majority....or simply simple majority (like today) or can never know...a change in the government for the first time by the Opposition (Pakatan Rakyat).
When u talk about General Election not only it will be the federal level, but also the state level. Currently, 4 states are under the Pakatan Rakyat and it will be a big battle by BN to regain it back.
In addition, with the setting up of the Parliamentary Committee in reforming the electoral system that will certainly be another major highlight for 2012.
Hang tight, 2012 is surely going to be one of a hack roller coaster ride...and it'll be really fist and fury!
Redskins....SUCKS
The Washington Redskins, suck is the word in my mind. No doubt with accumulating injuries of key players, but again inconsistencies of the Quarterback and Offensive Line.
Five games they have lost and hope the next one will be turnaround. Cross your fingers!

Bad habits when driving.....urggh!
hi Folks,
It is like a fabulous Friday, what else can be better than the weekend is knocking on our door steps!
Driving in Malaysia or any where...you'll be the judge
Just wanna share my thoughts about observing the worst or bad driving style committed by the so-called special category of drivers who just won't follow the driving/road regulations or care about SAFETY.
1. Still going when red light - Totally annoying cos it can endanger other drivers.
2. Not signaling when making a turn - Yuck! hate this especially when the signal light is not used at all
3. Driving slow on the fast lane - Don't u wish u wanna whack them and tell them to drive on the slow lane especially on the highway/expressway.
4. Not slowing down or come to a complete stop when approaching the 'zebra crossing' - Beware pedestrians, this can be a 'death zone' if some irresponsible driver just zoom or speed through the crossing
5. Overtaking a vehicle when it is 'double line' - This is really dangerous and some of the cause of accident is when the driver is trying to overtake and it is double line.
6. Having a child or a baby behind the wheel when driving - This is also freakingly annoying as well. Imagine if there there was an emergency brake, then that poor child would get injured especially by the steering wheel or worse the windshield. This happens sometimes in Malaysia UNFORTUNATELY regardless the type of car one drives. You'll be AMAZE to see this happen on the road.
7. Not wearing seat belts - Oh yes, very important.
8. Talking on a handphone while driving really slow on the fast lane or middle lane - Yes! irritating imagine u are driving and suddenly had to really slow down because 'our good driver' is 'yakety yak' coz he or she is driving slow...possibly because of the intensity of the phone conversation.
9. Driving too close or tailgating too close - Normally notice this habit on the highways where the driver will drive so close to the 'behind' of your vehicle and at same flashing the light to ask you to 'get the hell out of my way'. Imagine if emergency brake what would happen.....u be the judge...
10. Reversing while on a exit due to mistakenly entering the wrong exit - Yes! this one is also dangerous and foolish. Imagine this driver getting into an exit (from the highway) and then realize it is the wrong exit and decided to 'reverse' to get back to the highway. CRAZY!!!!

EXPENSIVE world we live in.....do u agree??
Hey Folks,
back again to the world of the bloggers...and yes.....November is rolling through....Last Sunday was the Hari Raya Idul Adha........looking forward to December! Good Grief!
Inflation or Rising Cost
Guys, imagine this I was just doing grocery as usual u know to stock up the food and stuff and time to pay you are like what the....is that the total....yes...it is like on an average, I spending nowadays RM 150 to 250 for groceries. Tried to be a good planner, but reality really bites! Actually, without knowing the prices (cost) do go up. What make one don't realize is that nowadays in the hypermarket or supermarket, there is no longer a price sticker or tag on the products, but the price is indicated on the shelf, BUT...here is the deal....sometimes it may not reflect the correct pricing. To be a good consumer or spender, then one must search for a price scanner (which is working and serviceable!) to indicate the right price.
No matter how big or small the sale promotion really is, you still have to be careful not just the price, but also the quality of the product because u ended up buying the most cheap-skate item that will just go haywire or broke in few months time or if u are lucky in year's time.
It is already not just crazy, but expensive world with a capital E!
No doubt the prices do go up (and stll going up and counting!), so as a responsible consumer, one must be very good in making decisions on what to buy and of course do lots of benchmarking and price comparison before purchase.
Well one of the hot topics or issues coming up very soon in the so-called-not-yet-declared-but-soon-to-become-very-hot-GENERAL ELECTION numero 13 is inflation....aka cost of living is going up. Of course all eyes and ears are waiting for PM Najib to make the call, but again with the yet-to-conclude-just-starting-up Electoral Committee, then it may take a while. Of course the prerogative still lies with the PM Najib, like it or not, he can call the shots when the time is right. Wait n See!
Redskins sucks !
My favorite NFL team, the Washington Redskins did it again. Yes folks, losing 4 games in a row! What the hell! Pardon my FRENCH! Where are they heading to....the bottomless pit. I have always been a strong and loyal fans of the Skins, but dammit (pardon again), they are losing games by the week! What is happening? They just can't seem to get the right formula or CHEMISTRY. Glad I didn't go and watch the games or else heart broken till the end! Can they rebound? Well, they must win the next game or else another losing season maybe in sight....hopefully not..
On a good side, my alma mater, Virginia Tech Hokies.....are winning...and that is GEWD! (good)
Folks if u are fan or follower of American Football, I'm sure u know what I mean.

The HAJ - 5th Pillar of Islam
hey folks,
there goes again my mind just want to rumble on and on...
The Haj
This Sunday will mark the official Idul Adha or the Haj. Yes, for a Muslim if he or she can afford in his lifetime to perform the haj in Mecca. It is the 5th pillar of Islam and for most Muslim-majority countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and others....public holiday people!!
In Malaysia, officially falls this Sunday and the best part is that if public holiday falls on a Sunday, then Monday is a holiday as well! Kewl!!!!!!!!
Basically, the Haj is not only a religious obligation for a Muslim to perform, but also a chance to travel outside of the country and experience life and sightseeing in the holiest cities in Islam which is Mecca and Medinah.
Of course, once the Haj is completed, then most Muslims would go and visit the interesting mosques and holy sites which is very historical in Islam. In addition, shopping is also a must since one must defintely purchase the dates and souvenirs from Mecca and Medinah.
When the Haj trip is over and back to homeland, then if you are man, you will have a 'Haji' in front of the name and for woman, you will have a 'Hajjah'.
My turn for Haj? InsyaALLAH, when the time comes, will do the same just like any other Muslims around the world. Wait n See....

November Rain!!!
Hey Folks,
Yes, the 3rd day of November of 2011. Amazing it is...we are just steamrollin' into 2012 in less than 2 months away....kewlness!!!!
RAINY SEASON
Yes, like dey say, there are 4 seasons when it comes to the weather in most parts of Europe, North America, South America or wherever which is experiencing this phenomena.
Unlike here in Malaysia, it is the beginning of the rainy season. Yes, once again the North West Monsoon is making its presence felt in Malaysia and also other parts of the region in South East Asia.
When it rains, it really pours......yup that is an Elvis tune for sure but the poin is yes, grab that umbrella or have it ready just in case if one needs to step out.
At the moment, there is yet any major reporting of floods, but again the authorities are being very careful and monitoring the situation. Hopefully this time around all of us can make it through this wet season; safe and sound.
I love rain especially it is the time when the air is really cool to breathe and not to mention the visibility is clear all the way. Temperature-wise, well in Malaysia is not like temperate climate, but at least we can enjoy comfortable 22 to 23 degrees in the evenings and early mornings.
Of course, talk about rainy season, one must plan the activity really well especially outdoors activity like picnic, tennis, football, etc since the rain normally occurs in the afternoon.
Beside experiencing the rain, one think also of tunes or songs that go with it...hmm well for a start when it is raining, below are just some kewl tracks to play or sing:
1. Have u ever seen the rain (Credence Clearwater Revival)
2. Rain (Madonna)
3. Blame it on the Rain (Milli Vanilli)
4. November Rain (Guns n Roses)
5. Raindrops keep falling on my head (BJ Thomas)
6. When it rains, it really pours (Elvis)
7. It's raining men (Weather Girls)
and plus hundreds of songs....that one can't think of...
With the rainy season, nice to sip and taste and relish some good 'ol soup.....oh yes....lovely isn't?

Final Weekend of October 2011!
Hey Folks,
back to the world of blogging.... 2011...is steaming fast....in less than 2 months, 2012 is approaching very soon.....
MALAYSIA CUP - NEGERI SEMBILAN!
Kudos to Negeri Sembilan for the excellent determination in winning the Malaysia Cup with a score of 2 to 1. Despite trailing 0-1, they managed to pull things together and go for the big win. Terengganu, ok, but again losing is really sour and bitter like they say always have the next time.....if it ever happens. Let see public holiday for all folks in Negeri Sembilan perhaps! Only time will tell.
WARM WATER aka AIR SUAM!
Normally, if one is a health conscious or just want to enjoy the nice and warm and lovely and soothing warm water or hot water or in Malay, 'air suam' or 'air panas kosong' at any cafe, 'warong', or restaurants, yes u can still get it.
Unfortunately from my experience, so far 2 restaurants have visibly and arrogantly displayed their arrogance and annoyance when it comes to ordering 'air suam'. I will not name these 2 restaurants for the sake of my safey! Again, it is really upsetting and in a way a disappointment that 'air suam' have to be 'begged' to order.
I remember telling the waiter/waitress that I just want 'air suam' and instead they offer mineral water which i refused. The reason is really unimaginable! They just can't give a clear answer when I seek their justification. In the end, after insisting that I see their Manager, then only they hesitate to give. It is really sickening to see restaurants that are just bunch of profit minded and don't give a damn about customers. Sad to say these 2 restaurants are not international, but MALAYSIAN product! I even told them that to charge the 'air suam' even if it is so difficult.
Gosh! Talk about the world today. Even 'air suam' have to be begged or forcefully request from a restaurant. It is so sad that even water is like a 'tug-of-war' and even today it do become an issue for certain countries. Hope it will not lead to unnecessary violence or dispute (i.e. war).
VT HOKIES win!
Well despite the defeat to Clemson which would have push the Hokies to the Top 10 of the NCAA football ranking both AP and USA Today, they've beat Duke. OKay, not a high scoring game, but at least it is a win.

back to the world of blogging....

Rising Cost......Football ticket is no exception
hi Folks,
Cool, it is like the 27th day of October.....the 1 day public holiday is over....now back to work!!!
FAM....ticket price at RM 50
Yes, the Malaysia Cup..........the final is approaching and FAM (Football Association of Malaysia) suddenly came out with a bombshell that the ticket price is now RM 50 per person! As expected, bewilderment, puzzled, disgusted, and disappointment filled the air and not to mention many fans from both Terengganu and Negeri Sembilan protested.
To ensure that the fans still get the chance to attend the important final, Terengganu state government decided to subsidize 50 percent which meant that the Terengganu fan just pay RM 25. Latest is that the Negeri Sembilan FA decided somewhat on the same way, but ask the Negeri Sembilan fans to just fork out RM 30. The balance RM 20 will be covered from the income/revenue/etc of the Malaysia Cup Final.
It is great to see that both state governments don't want to disappoint their fans and willing to go all out to ensure that everybody gets to attend the final this Saturday. Talk about being compassionate and caring, this is really from a sports point of view. Bravo to both Terengganu and Negeri Sembilan government for stepping in to ensure that the Malaysia Cup final will not be a totally let down.
However, again one must say about FAM. Okay, I can understand that the reason for the price hike is due to cost and that it needs to pay the necessary (blah, blah, blah), but why so sudden that this was done in so great haste. We can rationalize and in a way agree that prices nowadays of goods and services do go up right now and it is something that all of us must be strong and intelligent to handle it, but for FAM isn't better this price hike was announced like maybe in the beginning of the season so that at least the normal or average citizen of this beloved country despite the nagging and complaint, can make the necessary adjustment to budget for the purchase of the football tickets. If it was announced very early in the season due to the so-called economics scale, that should be fine. No doubt, people will complain and cuss about it, but at least it is not done like bombshell like what we have experienced few days ago. Now the public image of FAM is affected in this unnecessary debacle, but nevertheless like they say the show must go on and that is the final of Malaysia Cup. Who will win the final? Anybody's guess....? Me.....not telling you...but both teams are good and both deserved to be in the final.
How I spend my Deepavali?
I didn't do much, just stayed home and rest and relax. Oh yes, did put on tumeric all over my body and guess what the my skin is so smooth......talk about natural remedy. Thanks to my wife, yes do agree that tumeric is a very useful remedy especially if one wants to have a nice, soft, smooth, and brighter skin.

Oh Man not Again!
Hiyeee Folks,
Time for me to ramble on and on.........
NFL: Washington Redskins.......say what...!?
If you are a huge fan of American Football, yes that is definitely me..... My favorite team, the Washington Redskins is coming through that familiar tune again..... Earlier, with a good start...and now...losing games...again....darn! What the heck is wrong? I know I didn't get the chance to watch the games on TV, but it seems that consistency is just not in the vocabulary for the Skins. Not to mention, a change of Quarterback. That is really not good. Gosh, if only they can redeem themselves and be focus to win the next game.....
Power of Mother Nature...........EARTHQUAKE!
Just looking at thing today, we are coming out with the latest IT gadget and stuff, but still can't predict the next Earthquake. My prayers and condolence goes out to the victims of the recent earthquake in Turkey. It was really heartbreaking to see how the rescuers took this child from the rubble. The kid is alive, but pretty sad that parents or loved ones didn't make it....
Wet, wet,wet..........
Not referring to the once popular Scottish pop band, but literally it is raining every evenings here in Malaysia particularly Kuala Lumpur. Like Elvis used to sing, 'when it rains, it really pours'. Heavy rain with occasionally flash of lightning...the perfect match of the Monsoon rain.....making its presence felt. So folks just be sure to bring your good ol companion called 'umbrella'. One thing that is good is that after the rain, the air is really clean. Yes, oxygen for all!

A Tragic End
Hey Folks,
We are running fast and at full speed for the year 2011. It is going really fast......SCARY because everything is just happening so fast. My sonny boy is growing fast too......goodness gracious!
Muammar Gaddafi
The man who ruled Libya for more than 40 years is offically gone (dead). His death was really a great tragedy. He was a dictator and no one can challenge his rule, but because of Libyans' inspiration of the 'people power' revolution occurring at both Tunisia and Egypt, they finally managed to topple him and finally caught him red handed and according to unofficial sources, he was supposed to be brought to the hospital, but was beaten up and died in the most tragic and inhumane way. It is sad to see how his death is shown worldwide on television and internet, but again the Libyans were probably just so angry him and that his death came to a violent end.
Some say, u do bad all the way and you ended bad.....
The Great Flood
Watching the news and reading the papers, the flood situation in Bangkok is getting worst by the day.
Feel sorry for everybody over there, imagine evacuating from your property and just don't know where to go to. My prayer for those folks to be strong and get through one of the toughest challenges in life.
SEA Games in Palembang
Yes, it is finally back and that is our region's version of the Olympic. It is called the SEA (South East Asia) Games and this time the host country is Indonesia and it is happening Palembang.
Congrats' to Indonesia for becoming the host. What is Malaysia target to win the medals? Too early to say but surely one of our strength is badminton. Again, let us see what will be the target.

Anyway, the traffic jam is something, but unforgettable. Think about it, traffic jam is just happening anywhere depending on the varying degree or seriousness of the traffic jam.
I wish could stay longer, but hey like dey say there is always a next time. One thing i really loved is yes food....the Nasi Padang just totally delicious. Really love it. It is so authentic Indonesian dish!
Also, the hospitality of the Indonesians is something! They are friendly and caring so far from my observation. That is so like Totally kewl!
Below are just some pics of nasi padang and new fwens met at Jakarta during the working visit thingy!

Indonesia-Malaysia relationship
You know it is so special of the relationship that the 2 countries share until today. Not to mention language similarity and also both countries have the largest Muslim population.
Lately, it was reported in the both Indonesian and Malaysian press that Malaysia took over some land near the western part of Kalimantan (in Borneo) as claimed by some Indonesian Parlimentarian or elected representative. In the end, it was just some blank talk and Malaysia have deny this.
The point is despite differences in the past, present, and maybe in the future, it is important that we maintain and treasure the beautiful cooperation and friendship that the 2 countries is enjoying. We will all be in the losing end if more bickering or quarelling started to occur and it is just not benefitting anyone both Indonesians and Malaysians.
No doubt differences and misunderstanding do occur; but it is all part of the healthy relationship for any country to endure and grow from it.
Whatever it is, both Indonesia and Malaysia are important partners and should remain that way till the end of time. Remember, we do have some ancestral lineage to Indonesia for most Malaysians and that is the beauty thanks to the 'melting pot' of both countries.
Redskins lost! Hokies won! Good Grief!
Darn it, talka about NFL, my team, the Washington Redskins lost to the Eagles...... Oh well Virgina Tech Hokies won...talk about damage control. Wish I could like watch the games, but hey thanks to the internet...that is sort save the day!

be proud of the Jalur Gemilang!!!
hey folks,
First day of October, golly.....we are on a roll and full speed ahead.....before 2012 is approaching....stand by!
NFL: Redskins....come on..
Well the Skins have a terrific start at 2 n O....sadly lost to the Cowboys......darn it... Damn luckily didn't watch that game...surely be heart broken... Really hope they win the nex game or else forget about the playoff....
NCAA: College Football
The Hokies...yes my alma mater...did it...hopefully they are on a winning streak.....just hope they stay focus and hold on the football and score touchdowns....and win...
ISA...repeal....good or bad?
Personally mixed feeling about this.....after PM Najib declared that it will go bye bye.... Good side; yes we are on the right track to prove to the World that democracy or say democratic discourse is making its presence felt in Malaysia.. It is high time that the so-called act is put away... But, security stability is something to ponder if the ISA is going to go bye bye by next year..... Hopefully the new so called act that is supposed to replace ISA will cover some elements of extremist activities that may cause disharmany or instability to our beloved melting pot, multiethnic, multidiversity Malaysia.
Up coming Budget?
All eyes and ears will wait for PM Najib to make his budget announcement of where or how or what Malaysia is heading. As an average 'Joe' in this country, hopefully it is a really people-friendly budget in view of the high cost of living and inflation existing in almost every stores directly or indirectly. With the exception of the so called 'Rich' folks, things are expensive and quality is unfortunately not meeting its so called good standards. No doubt this budget is really a one of the warm up acts by PM Najib to please the silent majority especially with the so called possible General Election that may happen this year or next year....wait n see.....
Whining about our Malaysian Flag.......Good Grief!
Several weeks ago, a politician remarked that he is not happy with our beloved Malaysian Flag..or we call it the 'Jalur Gemilang' because it reminded of him that it is resembling the Barisan Nasional colour and also that it also resemble the US flag... Imagine, during Malaysia Day, he proudly show off his political party flag and handed out to his constituents... what a bump! Excuse my Fwench! First thing first; the Jalur Gemilang was created even long before the Barisan Nasional came into being which was in the early 70s and second no doubt the red and white stripes resemble of the US flag, but that doesn't necesssarily mean we are Pro US or copying US... Look at the flag of Liberia, also have the red and white stripes.... Talk about unintelligent political rhetorical deem to fail stardom by this so called politician. Frankly, if you are a politician regardless from which party be it government or opposition; please please...focus focus...it is the issues everyday around us that average Joe like me is interested....not some foolish remarks about our pride and glory Jalur Gemilang (Malaysian Flag). In the end that poor politician did apologise and retract, but again the damage has already been done.... In the words of Alanis Morissette, " you live you learn'......

come what may.....
Hi Folks,
Back again...after a week of the Eid Mubarak Break....back to life again.......
Takziah/Condolence
Very tragic to hear our fellow countryman who was a photojournalist from Bernama lost his life. Let us put politics aside, he was there simply to cover the famine or humanitarian crisis that has been lingering in Somalia for decades. No doubt, we want the culprit who is responsible for his death to face justice, but again his bravery and sense of humanity is what should make us Malaysian proud because we assisting and lending a hand to another country that is really in need of food and medicine.
It is really unfortunate that when incidence like this happen, there are groups of 'intelligent people' who just love to gain the political mileage and start condemning and finding blame with what has happened.
Obviously, the government have done its part to ensure that the trip was going to be safe, but as unexpected the unfortuante incident happened. To make it interesting according to BBC, the shot that was responsible for the death of our fellow countryman was coming from the Peacekeeping force of the African Union! Not from bandits or militias or gangs or thugs, but from the Peackeeping force from the African Union countries. Strange that the so-called possible source of firing is from the Peackeeping force of the African Union, but again the Somali Government have promised to investigate and provide a full report on the incident.
For the time-being let us share this moment of grief and again prayer for Allahyarham Noramfaizul Mohd Nor. Al-Fatihah.
Say What...Gloryfying Malayan Communist Party...!?
Much is said about the 'Bukit Kepong' incident back in the early 1950s when the police station was lost to the Communist attack. It was a startling blow to the British and the Anti-Communist force at that time.
Lately in the news, PAS one of the 3 parties that form what is Pakatan Rakyat which is the infamous Opposition Bloc is saying otherwise. Yes, they are saying that Mat Indera the so-called 'fighter' in the Communist force was merely fighting against the British. Sounds like 'war of independence' or some sort. Are we saying that that all this while the Malayan Communist Party, the party or guerilla group that was once terrorizing Malaya is the actual 'freedom fighters'. Fighting for freedom and independence of Malaya...against the British....BUT wait.....hello they are fighting to gain independence for Malaya to establish a Communist State! What is the world going right now. Don't these so called smart politicians from the other political spectrum (ie. Pakatan Rakyat) know that thanks to the MCP, a lot of innocent lives and properties were lost and damaged.
The MCP were responsible for a lot of atrocities and not to mention causing grievous harm and instability to Malaya at that time. Not to mention, isn't that the MCP got their moral support from one of the Communist Giants (beside USSR) at that time which was China due to the 'Cold War' effects.
Now in the latest saga, PAS is saying that the late Mat Indera is the true freedom fighter and that he was fighting against the British in the whole Bukit Kepong incident. Mat Indera decided to join MCP to be part of the guerrilla resistance against the British rule. But wait hold on here, the MCP not just harm the British, but also innocent lives of other Malayans at that time. Of course like any patriot, Mat Indera has the right to fight for independence, but he joined the wrong party or group. Maybe he must have hate the Brits so much that he decided to go for 'arm struggle'.
One thing for sure a lot of our former soldiers and police have done so much to fight the Communist threats and terrorism in order to regain stabilization of Malaya and thus leading to independence in 31 August 1957.
One thing that we must not forget, the Baling Talk which was the only room that was given to MCP to give up their armed struggle and Communism, but they rejected it because of wanting to uplift the Communist thoughts and beliefs.
Thank God that our late PM Tunku Abdul Rahman (Father of Independence) managed to seek independencce the peaceful way and later after 1957 the so-called Communist struggle gradually phased out.
In my opinion, let us not get distracted by resurructing the Communist so-called fighters cause thanks to them there are families who have lost their loves ones and yes it does leaves bitterness, anger, and resentment until today. Rememer the Communist uprising or armed guerilla struggle was just part of the Cold War phenomenon when Communism was on the rise. We were just lucky that Malaya was not like Vietname, Laos, or Cambodia. We managed to pull through and gain independence the peaceful way and 'naturally' led to the decline of the communist terrorism in Malaya.

Before, During, After....RaYa...
Hi folks,
welcome back again.....
Hari Raya Aidilfitri is coming close to us in less than 2 weeks...
One thing again that trigger in my head is the usual and unfortuante, sad news....yes....accidents.
To all fellow Malaysians,
Drive carefully. Think of your loved ones. There is no reason for us to break the rules of driving.
Let us strive to get the number of accidents to a minimum. It is really heartbreaking to see every Hari Raya since 1997 (when I came back to Malaysia), there are just so many incidents of accidents be it minor or major.
The authorities (Police and Road Transport Department) tirelessly monitors the road and highways and at the same time enforces the law.
Whatever it is; it is sad to see innocent lives gone thanks to the accident.
For us to be really ready for the future, for vision 2020 or even the 21st century, we've got to drive safe and smart. Yes we have one of the best highways in the world, but our attitude and 'crazy' style of driving got to stop.
The decision is yours my fellow Malaysians, love your country, love your family, and love your life.

So Long Shammi!
Hi Guys,
BAck again to the world of blogging!
Midway thru Ramadhan
I was shocked only to learn that the once great Hindi/Bollywood Legend that I still admire today, the Great Shammi Kappor has left us for good.
BAck again to the world of blogging!
Midway thru Ramadhan
Imagine it is already the midpoint of the holy month of Ramadhan and time is flying fast. Alhamdulillah, thanks to the almight Allah, the fasting month is going smooth for me. In less than 2 weeks from now, it will be Aidil Fitri. Talk about shopping..haven't done it yet.
Shammi Kapoor

He was really an amazing actor. A mix of 'ol Blue Eye, Elvis, and Jerry Lewis in my opinion formswhat is or was the Great Shammi Kapoor. He was what epitomoze the popularity of Bollywood movies. If it was not for him, Bollywood wouldn't be like today.
First time, I was watching his movie was 'Jungalee'. Yup, remember in the 80s, I was like watching the tape 10 to 20 times....just admiring his acting and not to mention his good looks. He was versatile and talented all the way.
He will surely be missed by everyone be it old fan, current fan, and soon to become fan.
Shammi, we will miss you. Thanks for the movies!

August....Awesome!
hey guys,
back finally after a long break...i mean blog break that is...
weird to start blogging..
Yup, it is the fasting month (Ramadhan).
Every year for Muslims all around the world; it is time to appreciate what Allah have gave to us the precious meaning of life. Of course, as a Muslim, we must always be very thankful for what we have no matter how difficult life can be.
MAS and AK = MASAK!
Surprise surprise...anyone know of this... It finally happen. A major development in the history of Aviation. An interesting phenomena. Malaysia Airlines and Air Asia together, definitely not a merger, but some sort of partnership. Reviewing the news; it looks like there is pros and cons... Hopefully this time around something good is going to happen out of it...
Elvis...!
The king of Rock n Roll; well he is RIP. May his memories linger on. Next week will be his...can't remember...but the day he 'left the building'. Gotta play some Elvis tunes.

Close to June already...GOLLY!
Hi Folks,
Yup back again to the world of blog....
Prices going up....Good Grief!
As expected the electricity tariff went up as announced by the Government. Of course not just that, but just almost everything from food items, clothings, etc.
Of course blame it on the instability of the world economy and blah blah blah. Well we've got to admit that the price of oil does have a correlation with the market price around the world. Price of tickets especially airline is increased.
This expected inflation is again a normal phenomena I mean it will happen and there is no reversing or two way about it.
Reality speaks that the price do go up over a certain period and that also include the price of Gold.
As an average Joe, one just have to be prudent in spending and be more economical savy.
Politically; Government and Opposition will have a field day with the pros and cons of it and again the average Joe just have to tolerate the bickering and focus on how to stay alive in this mad and friendly jungle!
RareEarth Issue
Pretty hot issue especially after the Fukushima reactor crisis. To make long story short; a company from Australia is investing in building the rare earth plant in Kuantan and of course strong opposition from fine citizens of Kuantan.
Well we've got to symphasize or emphathize with the Kuantan citizen for standing up and ask that the project be abolish completely.
Like they say, let us see both sides of the coin. Pros.....provide jobs and better economic investment for Kuantan (especially for state of Pahang)...and Cons.....environmental damage (possible radiation involve).
It is good to know that in order to ensure and assure that all views are listen and taking note of; the Government have have invited International experts especially from IAEA to do a complete study to see as to whether it will bring good or harm to the people.
We will just wait n see.....as usual...some say!

Terrible Tragedy....
Hi Folks,
A nice weekend and suddenly all of us just shocked to face the same music; yes another landslide event and this time 16 lives mostly children were gone.
No doubt landslide is a natural phenomena, but one always wonder what could be biggest factor that caused it to happen? Of course some say blame it on the rain and weather, but realizing it is us humans yes we are responsible because population is growing and more land needs to be developed for new township and etc.
Ironically; this is not the first time such landslide tragedy occurred in Malaysia. Enough of politics, ping-pong, and gridlock; we are all accountable. Everybody from the highest leadership to the normal 'john' on the road share that responsibility. Perhaps we must be tougher in ensuring that any development at the hillside or slope must take into consideration the geology and safety aspect before any approval can take place.
The weather is erratic at times; well thanks to man! The point is we can't always react to the same tune over again and requesting investigation and etc etc. With this sort of tune still linger on, not surprised that there will be more landslide to come and sadly more innoncent lives will be lost. Better act now than never. No more talk, get that action please.

Last Week....
Hi Folks,
Yup it is a public holiday in Malaysia today; Happy Wesak Day! Well talk about Wesak Day, it is a special day for all the followers of Buddhism.
HAZE was back....
Last week the infamous haze made a comeback. It was irritating and not comfortable at all to b outside. As usual source of the haze is from our neighbor, Indonesia. Again, looking from a different perspective altogether, we can't always blame Indonesia. They tried to eradicate the problem, but is still occurrs. Perhaps, countries affected by this man-made miserable phenomena should even harder to control the haze menace. After all we are breathing the same oxygen! Luckily, we haven't encounter (yet) the 'oxygen tax'. That will be ridiculous and hope that will not happen during my time or future generation to come.
Anyway, in Malaysia, all us too share the responsibility of ensuring clean air. We must educate one another of the importance of clean air and environment.
Thank God, now the haze has cleared and blue sky is back again.... Well, next question is how long it will stay this way...I mean the blue sky and evening showers.....? That is Mother Nature's call.....
