Close to June already...GOLLY!

Hi Folks,

Yup back again to the world of blog....

Prices going up....Good Grief!

As expected the electricity tariff went up as announced by the Government. Of course not just that, but just almost everything from food items, clothings, etc.

Of course blame it on the instability of the world economy and blah blah blah. Well we've got to admit that the price of oil does have a correlation with the market price around the world. Price of tickets especially airline is increased.

This expected inflation is again a normal phenomena I mean it will happen and there is no reversing or two way about it.

Reality speaks that the price do go up over a certain period and that also include the price of Gold.

As an average Joe, one just have to be prudent in spending and be more economical savy.

Politically; Government and Opposition will have a field day with the pros and cons of it and again the average Joe just have to tolerate the bickering and focus on how to stay alive in this mad and friendly jungle!

RareEarth Issue

Pretty hot issue especially after the Fukushima reactor crisis. To make long story short; a company from Australia is investing in building the rare earth plant in Kuantan and of course strong opposition from fine citizens of Kuantan.

Well we've got to symphasize or emphathize with the Kuantan citizen for standing up and ask that the project be abolish completely.

Like they say, let us see both sides of the coin. Pros.....provide jobs and better economic investment for Kuantan (especially for state of Pahang)...and Cons.....environmental damage (possible radiation involve).

It is good to know that in order to ensure and assure that all views are listen and taking note of; the Government have have invited International experts especially from IAEA to do a complete study to see as to whether it will bring good or harm to the people.

We will just wait n see.....as usual...some say!

Terrible Tragedy....

Hi Folks,

A nice weekend and suddenly all of us just shocked to face the same music; yes another landslide event and this time 16 lives mostly children were gone.

No doubt landslide is a natural phenomena, but one always wonder what could be biggest factor that caused it to happen? Of course some say blame it on the rain and weather, but realizing it is us humans yes we are responsible because population is growing and more land needs to be developed for new township and etc.

Ironically; this is not the first time such landslide tragedy occurred in Malaysia. Enough of politics, ping-pong, and gridlock; we are all accountable. Everybody from the highest leadership to the normal 'john' on the road share that responsibility. Perhaps we must be tougher in ensuring that any development at the hillside or slope must take into consideration the geology and safety aspect before any approval can take place.

The weather is erratic at times; well thanks to man! The point is we can't always react to the same tune over again and requesting investigation and etc etc. With this sort of tune still linger on, not surprised that there will be more landslide to come and sadly more innoncent lives will be lost. Better act now than never. No more talk, get that action please.

Last Week....

Hi Folks,

Yup it is a public holiday in Malaysia today; Happy Wesak Day! Well talk about Wesak Day, it is a special day for all the followers of Buddhism.

HAZE was back....

Last week the infamous haze made a comeback. It was irritating and not comfortable at all to b outside. As usual source of the haze is from our neighbor, Indonesia. Again, looking from a different perspective altogether, we can't always blame Indonesia. They tried to eradicate the problem, but is still occurrs. Perhaps, countries affected by this man-made miserable phenomena should even harder to control the haze menace. After all we are breathing the same oxygen! Luckily, we haven't encounter (yet) the 'oxygen tax'. That will be ridiculous and hope that will not happen during my time or future generation to come.
Anyway, in Malaysia, all us too share the responsibility of ensuring clean air. We must educate one another of the importance of clean air and environment.
Thank God, now the haze has cleared and blue sky is back again.... Well, next question is how long it will stay this way...I mean the blue sky and evening showers.....? That is Mother Nature's call.....
