Hey Folks,
Glad to be back after a long hiatus or break.
The Malaysian General Election - 13th
Finally the election is done, yes! Life is back to how it was..... The Malaysians have made up their minds and Barisan Nasional (BN) still forms the majority in the Parliament, but not the 2/3 majority they have aimed for.
As for Pakatan Rakyat (PR) they have somehow managed to gain about 89 seats, but have yet to reach their so-called goal to form the so-called next government.
PM Najib will have a lot of things to do and of course to gain back the confidence of fellow Malaysians that BN will now have to decide to win the hearts and minds or just bulldoze and hope for 'divine intervention' which is definitely out of the question.
As for the Anwar Ibrahim, the man of PR and soon to be Opposition Leader (again), will now be pitching the country to prove that BN is not the people's choice (based on the 'popular number of votes).
The Malaysian GE-13 is definitely not like the US Presidential Election where popular votes and the 'electoral votes' will determine the next US President.
Anyway enough said, boring to talk about this, but one thing for sure be on the look out for up and coming possible future PM candidate for Malaysia in the future. We are talking about Mukhriz Mahathir the son of the Former PM Tun Mahathir. He is now getting involved with the state administration of Kedah and if he proves successful, who knows he could be the 'potential' champion that can take BN back to its once pride and envy place!
As for Anwar and the PR Gang, well they are busy embarking on the 'election is rigged' tour, surprisingly still not exhausted yet......hoping for some 'people power' or some sort, but again this is Malaysia so it may not worked just like in the Philippines.
Well, let us just enjoy the movies and give our reviews later...of the ever changing, exciting Malaysian politics!
Cheerios!
